Riley gets the nod

Per Okanes at the CC Times here, Tedford said today that Riley will start versus Oregon, meaning he will get the majority of the first team reps this week.

Hopefully that will help develop some chemistry with his receivers. Among other things, this should also give Cal a bit more flexibility in countering what figures to be a fierce pass rush from conference leading defensive end Nick Reed. Riley made some plays eluding the UCLA pass rush, and also slowed them down for a play or two with the designed draw plays.
