Well, it's looking more and more like the Emerald Bowl vs. a mid-level ACC team, likely Miami or Wake (Pac 10 #5 vs. ACC #7 are the tie-ins for Emerald). Here's a quick explanation by the Comical's Rusty Simmons.

Here's CC Times writer Jeff Faraudo's writeup of the basketball team's loss to Florida State Saturday night. Though they lost, it was the tail end of a back-to-back against a bigger, more physical team. And they rallied the last two minutes to almost steal it.

What is more encouraging is the night before, they went into a very hostile road venue at UNLV and beat a very solid, then-undefeated UNLV team handily and decisively. Here are some links to stories about that game.
