Petition for Writ Denied - Almost Home

Today the Court of Appeal delivered a punishing stiff-arm to the Appellants in the SAHPC litigation, denying not only their request to extend the stay, but also their petition for writ of supersedeas. This means the court of appeal will not halt the construction, even if the appellants proceed with their appeal. This raises all sorts of problems for appellants, such as mootness, but this is not a law website, so without further ado, a link to the court of appeal's opinion. Appellants' last hope is the California Supreme Court. It ain't over, but it's looking pretty good.
